The Triskele is an ancient symbol from Celtic mythology representing the constant motion and moving through phases of change. In Teen Wolf, it represents how the werewolf packs moved through being leaders to followers, and through back to being the lone wolf. One of the mothers in the series showed this symbol to her children, in order to cope with the phases of transformation that they went through in their lives from being human, transitioning, and finally becoming the werewolf.
The stories in Teen Wolf, although it is a popular culture mythology help us see ourselves as we move through phases in our lives, and how as the wheel turns, we enter into different shifts of transformation. This ancient symbol has been adopted by the creators of the Teen Wolf mythology, and it has a deep and pervasive meaning.
Often that is why we aspired to these cultural icons, such as Teen Wolf, as the stories help us understand ourselves and help us form our own meanings. The Triskele, in its triumvirate host of meanings helps us to see different aspects of ourselves, our realities and relationships. The moon has its phases: full, waxing and waning. The wolf pack has its leadership standards: alpha, beta and omega. Family is represented the divine feminine, the divine masculine, and the energy of the offspring.
The wheels of time keep dancing in a constant state of motion, and the story of Teen Wolf helps us see things on a different level. The beauty of the Pirate-Dragon art is that much of it is created for the deep meanings embedded in our cultural icons, and the language of symbols brings about changes to our subconscious minds.
